Substantively, my research interests are the representation and public opinion of social groups, especially young people and migrant origin individuals, in combination with party competition and parliamentary behaviour. Methodologically, I utilize a range of quantitative methods and various techniques from the computational text analysis toolkit.

My dissertation is supervised by Prof. Marc Debus (Mannheim) and Prof. Stefanie Bailer (Basel). In it, I study the political representation of young voters across Europe and investigate the role that different political elites play in this process. 

At the MZES I work in the project titled “Ethnic and Socio-Economic Background of Candidates for Political Office: Implications for Representation Patterns in Post-Migration Society”, led by Prof. Marc Debus. In this project, we study the political careers, attitudes and representation behaviour of politicians with diverse migrant background in Germany.
